New Mexico House District 23

About

My Story

For as long as I remember I have felt that I need to be a voice for those who did not have a voice. At a very young age, I began to tackle city issues by addressing them at city council meetings. I was appointed to the public safety committee where I was able to address the critical infrastructure needs the Las Vegas Police Department was facing.

Why I am Running

I am running for the office of House of Representative in district 23 to be your Representative because I feel that today’s political climate has limited its access to our voters, small business, and our workforce. We must put people first! If our elected officials would back up their beliefs and opinions with action, our state would not be having the problems we are facing today. New Mexicans are dealing with very difficult times. We are all struggling to pay our bills. We find increased prices at the grocery store, pharmacy, gas pumps, and rent. On top of that, the pandemic has dealt a huge blow to our small businesses which employ 53% of our workforce.

I have a proven track record of energizing disenfranchised voters by continuing to reach out to them and bring them to the table. For New Mexico to move into the future, we must invest in ALL NEW MEXICANS regardless of party. I will not need to learn on the job, my past 20 years of leadership experience in New Mexico working with the taxpayers and constituents has prepared me to take on the challenge of moving our district and our state forward.
